The Importance of Quality Music Accessories

Who isn't a fan of music? Every culture has a form of music. While music is different around the world, people are always moved by it. Music lives on in your memory for decades. It has the ability to alter your mood and make you feel happy. Hearing a song can make you go back in time to a memory of the first time you heard that song.
If you enjoy music, you want to be able to enjoy it to the fullest extent. That is made possible by having quality equipment and musical accessories. When you listen to music on an mp3 player, you can enjoy your experience even more if you have the right headphones and earphones.
If you are a fan of music, it is important that you own a pair of high quality headphones. Headphones are two speakers which rest on top of your ears. Headphones that are poor quality do not allow you to hear your music the way it was meant to be heard. While headphones come in a variety of price points, buying an inexpensive pair will make your music listening experience less than what it could be if you spent a little more money.
When you buy quality headphones, you can enjoy listening to music the way artists meant for it to be heard. And, quality headphones, like Denon headphones, can last for years to come before they wear down and need to be replaced. Headphones Sennheiser also offer quality headphones that produce a high quality music listening experience. Sony is a trusted name brand for quality products and their headphones live up to the standard of high quality.
Earphones are another must have accessory. Earphones go directly in your ear, and it is important that these are high quality as well. There is nothing worse than having an earphone fall apart while you are wearing it. Cheap earphones are uncomfortable and flimsy. They don't last very long, and the quality of the music is terrible.
A recent trend with this accessory is wireless headphones. If you like wireless accessories, you might want to upgrade your current headphones to wireless headphones. If you are a fan of music, it is important that you invest in quality musical accessories such as headphones and earphones. If you have inexpensive accessories, you might consider upgrading to higher quality music product. You might be surprised at the difference that it makes when you listen to your favorite music.

Bhojpuri Songs in India Today

Music from Bihar is more popular than ever before. There was a time when music from Bihar was non-existent. Bhojpuri songs have in the last few years been popularised thanks to the Indian film industry popularly known as Bollywood. Bhojpuri is a language spoken not only in the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh but also regions of Nepal, Mauritius and also parts of the Caribbean. It was considered as a language of the villages and spoken by the poor people. But in recent years, the people of Bihar are shedding the down trodden feel of Bhojpuri and adopting the language as their very own. Speaking this language is no longer considered as backward.
Hindi movies have introduced Bhojpuri item songs like "Munni badnam hui" and "Mai aai hu UP Bihar lootne". This has made the movies attractive to the masses of the Bhojpuri regions. In addition, it does spice up the film and attracts many people just to watch the videos. Interestingly these videos do attract large crowds and hence act as crowd pullers as far as Hindi movies are concerned. Hence more Hindi movie directors and producers are considering adding a Bhojpuri song in the films similar to adding a Bhangra (Punjabi song) to make it more attractive.
Many Bhojpuri singers are too taking up singing Bhojpuri songs for Hindi movies as compared to just singing for albums. Bhojpuri Playback Singers include; Manoj Tiwari, Dinesh lal Yadav'nirahua', Bharat Sharma, Pawan Singh, Radhe Shyam, Udit Narayan, Sharada Sinha, Manoj Tiwari, Kalpana Patowary, Guddu Rangeela and many other rising stars from the Bhojpuri world. Out of these singers, Manoj Tiwari and Sharda Sinha are most famous. Single handed they have taken the Bhojpuri language and propelled it to great heights. Kalpana Patowary another Bhojpuri singer, although being from the state of Assam she has taken up singing Bhojpuri songs and have excelled in it. She is so famous in Bihar for music that she is considered as the queen of Bhojpuri music. Singing in Bhojpuri is no longer taboo.
Although Bhojpuri songs are not freely available on the internet as compared to Hindi songs, nonetheless, they can be easily found on the streets of Bihar. It's very difficult to miss Bhojpuri songs and music specially on the streets of small towns in Bihar such as Muzaffarpur or Jehanabad. Bhojpuri music can still be bought on Amazon online store. Other places to buy Bhojpuri mp3's include eBay and auction stores, however availability are rather limited. Hence the best place to buy these songs is by visiting Bihar, the source of everything Bhojpuri.

Digital DJ Equipment - The Gear For Pro DJs, Beginners And The Rest

What is the digital DJ equipment?
To be a digital DJ, you can use a very smart piece of gear generally called the DJ controller or console that plugs into your laptop. It combines 2 decks and a mixer all in one and allows you to play digital (MP3, wave, wma, flac) directly from your Mac or PC.
It works with an advanced software which analyses your tracks, helps you cue them up and allows you to simulate real vinyl and CD decks.
Many of them have a built in range of sound effects and advanced tools making it easier for you not only to mix, but to easily find, loop and even remix on the fly to some extent.
So why not be a PC DJ and just use a laptop on its own?
Some of the new digital DJ equipment breed just use a laptop to mix. Typically, this could be a guy on a low budget, who's never DJed before, blagging his way to gigs with a cracked version of a mixing software on a PC.
Did I mention, he's got a ton of MP3s copied from other DJs playlists and downloaded from "somewhere" on the Internet?
These guys generally can get a few gigs thanks to their smart promotion tricks and sit smugly behind their PCs, mixing with a mouse.
Yuck.
The image isn't a great one. What people see is a chancer who's trying to be cool and who's DJing to try to get money and girls by preening around and using his mouse to mix.
It's what I refer to as a mouse DJ. My advice?
Don't become one of these guys. They tend not to last too long.
If you want real gigs, a name for yourself and above all some respect then invest some of your cash and get a decent controller at least.
Mastering the gear and learning the basics of mixing, even if it is assisted by BPM counters and wave forms will get you some credit.
Some vinyl DJs may still look down their noses at you but more about that later.
Seeing a cheapskate in the booth on a PC and cracked software with little else sends out a message that this guy is a fake imposter.
That's why you should get yourself some real gear.
Being ready to doll out a few hundred on a controller sets you apart from the mouse DJs.
What DJ controllers are recommended?
I'd like to recommend you 3 different models of USB controller. This should correspond to your budget. I can't control what budget you have, but I can suggest that you always invest more in your gear.
Why? Because I know that if you buy a cheap controller, you'll end up buying a better one later on down the road. The total cost is of course, higher than if you'd invested more at the start.
In addition to this, no one wants to be seen with a plastic toy in a club. If you're passionate about becoming a digital DJ, then you should splash out some more.
Using CDs or vinyl with MP3s. Is this still digital?
It's still possible to mix using digital music and keep on using vinyls or CDS. This means that you (according to some people) still look cooler.
Whether you do or not is a matter of opinion.
If you like using CDs or vinyls to mix but you want to make the most of the convenience MP3 or digital DJing offers then you still can.
How?
By using time coded vinyl or CD to mix.
So what are the advantages of digital DJing?
Deciding how to approach DJing is important. Is mixing with MP3s looked down on with disdain in the dubstep and d'n'b world? Let's say you fit in better with vinyls.
But mixing with MP3s is more acceptable in other environments.
It's an important decision to make for you. Read more with my article to help you decide if having digital DJ equipment is really for you.

Michael Jackson's Handwritten Notes And Comments On His Own Press Release

Michael Jackson is known as the most successful entertainer of all-time. As a singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer, his work established pop music as a force to be reckoned with, and his legacy of success in perfoming and producing pop music established pop as a formidable genre, with many new artists still following in his footsteps to this day. Less commonly known about Michael was his knack for the business side of music, and the marketing of promoting himself and his music. In this draft press release, The King Of Pop shows his hands-on approach to managing his important career.
Mr. Jackson has, on July the 4th (or the 3rd), 1985, reviewed his own press release, and did not approve of what the staff of Patrick Kelly Productions had planned to submit for global release. MJ reveals, in these rare notes made on the copy, his management style and displeasure. He personally corrects in the following way - "Add L.A. star on Hollywood", etc, and, "making Thriller the biggest selling album of all time - M.J. 7-3-85." Also, Jackson highlighted certain key phrases to emphasize just what he believed was important. One can see the business and management skills of this young 27-year-old Michael. A rare contribution to music history is featured here as authored by MJ himself. Through the momentum of Michael's early career, he continually exhibited business and marketing savvy, wanting to make sure that his appearance and image were in line with his goals as a musician and performer.
Michael's relationship to Paul McCarntey at the time plays a significant role in understanding this manuscript. This important press release was authored not long after MJ and the Jackson Five's major "VICTORY TOUR". The Jackson Brothers tour, lead by Michael Jackson, toured and preformed 55 amazing concerts. The Victory Tour also played to 2 million paying fans and grossed 75 million dollars, a record at that time.
This was the last time the Jackson Brothers were to tour together; and, the Victory Tour featured two of Michael Jackson's famous trademarks: his one-hand, decorated single glove and his innovative Moonwalk Dance movements, two performing trademarks that forever changed pop music and pop dance.
This piece is a museum-worthy discovery, being hand-authored by, and corrected by, MJ himself. It clearly illustrates the hands-on approach of one of the single biggest talents ever to appear on any stage anywhere in the world: Michael Jackson.

The Importance of Having a Pre-Gig Warm-Up Routine For Drummers

Having a warm-up routine right before playing for a gig or a major concert can really help a drummer loosen his/her body up. This is important because commonly, a single set can be composed of a minimum of 15-30+ songs in a single night. All those songs have their own different tempos and their own different arrangements which can really be physically demanding to a drummer. You might not enjoy playing after a while when you start to feel that something's wrong with your body and if worse comes to worst, you might end up messing up a lot because of that.
That's why having a pre-gig routine is important because it can help make your body more physically prepared for playing on the gig. So if you're a drummer that's looking for a good warm-up routine but you don't know where to start, here's a basic routine that you can use.
1. Start out with some stretching - Stretch your arms, hands, fingers, legs and even your feet. That's because drumming is a very physical activity in spite of it being musical in nature. So stretching your body can really help get the blood circulating to keep you from getting unintended cramps and other muscle problems because
2. Subdivision Exercises - If you have a practice pad and a kick pad backstage you can do some simple subdivision exercises with each of your 4 limbs. That is, from your hands to your feet. What you do is you play 2 bars of 8th notes, 2 bars of 8th note triplets and 2 bars of 16th notes on each of your limbs. This works better if you also have a metronome with you to really help you stay in time when you're playing.
3. Rudimental exercises - If you still have some time left, work on your rudiments. This time, instead of focusing on your individual limbs, you can work with either both your hands, both your feet or you can do a hand and foot combination. For starters, you can try doing 2 bars of a single stroke roll, 2 bars of a double stroke roll and 2 bars of paradiddles. These are some of the most commonly used rudiments that you can use to get yourself warmed up.
So now that you've seen some exercises you can use for yourself, be sure to consistently do them before your gigs to keep you limber and loose. You'll definitely enjoy playing more when you get to warm up correctly. Take note though, that these are just a means to help you get started on working on a routine for yourself. Other drummers have more rigid and more elaborate exercises that make use of more rudiments and even more combinations. Later on, you can eventually start making your own routines once you've introduced yourself to other exercises.
Mikhail A.V.V. Acebuche is a drummer and a percussionist who lives in the Philippines.

Before Guitar Playing - Developing a Buying Strategy

Before you can fully enjoy guitar playing, you should embark on something exciting: buying a new guitar. You go to the music store and immediately face a world of possibilities, a supermarket of tantalizing choices. Every guitar on the wall seems to scream, "Pick me! Pick me!" Should you resist, exercise restraint, and avoid the models you know you can't afford?
Heck, no. Be bold and just try any model that strikes your fancy. After all, you're not asking to test drive the Ferrari appearing in the showroom window; you're simply asking the salesperson to see how different guitars feel and sound. And you're not being frivolous either. Before you dive into guitar playing, play a range of guitars to help you understand the differences between high-quality, expensive guitars and acceptable but affordable guitars.
So indulge yourself. Even if you don't have enough experience to recognize the subtle differences between a good guitar and a great guitar, at least expose yourself to them. And don't wait until the day that you decide to buy an instrument to pick one up for the first time. Make several visits to the music store before you're ready to buy and then take the time to absorb your experiences. Try to visit several different music stores if you can. Some stores may be the exclusive dealer of a specific brand in your region; other retailers may not be able to sell that brand of guitar. Also, you pick up far more knowledge about what makes a good, playable guitar than you may think just by handling several different instruments.
Buying a guitar can be like what happens after you think that you have the basics of a foreign language down pat and then visit the country where it's spoken: You practice your best Berlitz for weeks, but the first time that a native starts speaking to you, you're completely flustered. But don't rush it; hang in there. You're just buying a guitar; you're not in a strange land trying to find the closest restroom facilities. You're eventually going to sort it all out. In no time, you'll enjoy the bliss of guitar playing in your home.
Don't simply wait until you get to the store to develop a buying strategy (which, by that time, usually translates into no strategy at all). Keep in mind that the two most important factors in making any purchasing decision - especially concerning a guitar, where passions tend to run high - are to develop a plan and to gather all the information you need to make the best choice.

Hard Rock With Ibanez Tube King Tk999 Overdrive Pedal

I really enjoy playing rock and blues stuff on my electric guitar. Every guitarist needs the equipment that helps him with his style. One of my favourite gear parts, is my Tube king Tk999 overdrive pedal by Ibanez.
That's because it gives a crunchy rockish feel to my riffs and solos. When I turn my pedal on I can rock around the universe. I can play endlessly for hours because I enjoy the sound so much.
Ok, the instrument or the gear of a guitarist comes second. Yes! His technique and feel must be his or her most important qualities. But there are are some days which you do not have the courage or the feel to play. These days everything you've got must help you to get up. Here comes the good equipment.
Ibanez Tube King TK999 is an electric guitarist's must have overdrive pedal. Imagine your favourite guitar players, your kings of rock 'n' roll, your absolutely favourite guitar riff! Yes, the tube king can come really close to these sounds.
A every important feature of the king, is the actual fact, that it contains a real tube. Yes even with a very cheap amplifier, even with a cheap old guitar, the quality if this pedal, can save you in a gig or recording.
I have spent so many hours studying, playing and even watching my guitar. The king was a great company on those moments! Those moments of joy, when your hands are in pain from the hard strings, when your heart beats like crazy, when feel so tired yet so full and content inside! In so many of these moments I had the tube king to keep me company, and help me get the results I wanted from my sound.
When I talk to fellow guitarists, about the King most of them feel the same way with me. Of course not all my death metal friends feel the way i do. If someone likes full distortion sounds at top speed riffs, the I don't think the king does the job for him. Yeah! definitely! Don't even think of tk999 overdrive pedal if you are really into death metal.
To cut a long story short, I would like to conclude by saying one thing. In my opinion the the tube king TK999 overdrive pedal is the best thing I got to get the crunchy sound I like on my riffs and solos.
This is what I had to say about this very good overdrive pedal, which I enjoy playing so much. I'll always be proud for having one! Let's not forget that practising and souls makes a true guitarist. Though gear can play a very big role to someone's sound.

The Nick Lowe Discography - A Selective Lowdown

Acclaimed performer and producer Nick Lowe was born in Walton-On-Thames in 1949. He first found his professional feet in the band Kippington Lodge, formed with friend Brinsley Schwarz in the late 1960s. The latter gave his name to a re-incarnation of the 'Lodge' band which subsequently lasted until 1975, by which time Lowe and Ian Gomm had been through its ranks. Gomm, along with Lowe, penned the song 'Cruel To Be Kind' which was to be Nick's second UK solo hit in 1980.
In 1976, Lowe released what was to be the first single on the legendary Stiff label where he resided as an in-house producer. In between his production stints and writing for such acts as Dr Feelgood (Lowe co-wrote Milk & Alcohol), Elvis Costello (for whom he produced his first five albums), The Damned and The Pretenders (he produced their version of the Kinks' song Stop Your Sobbing), Lowe pt out a steady stream of solo albums, beginning with the modestly titled Jesus Of Cool in 1978, home to his biggest UK hit single 'I Love The Sound of Breaking Glass', which reached number 7 in the singles chart. Here are a couple of other choice items from the Nick Lowe Discography:
  • Labour Of Lust, released in June the following year, continued to display Lowe's taste for ironic, slightly barbed, sophistication, given weight by songs such as Cracking Up and Switchboard Susan. The band on this album was essentially the other members of Dave Edmunds' Rockpile, with cameos from Costello and one Huey Lewis who contributed harmonica on Born Fighter. It reached number 42 on the UK album chart.
  • Nick Lowe & His Cowboy Outfit, a 1984 album, saw a shift in emphasis to a rootsy Americana, which saw it win many favourable reviews but alas minimal commercial success; the single from it, Half A Boy And Half A Man, only reached 53 in the UK and the album itself peaked at 113. It was also notable for the presence of keyboardist and vocalist Paul Carrack, with whom Lowe had worked on a track for the 1981 Squeeze album East Side Story.
  • The Convincer, released in October 2001, is a laid-back, plaintive album that sees Lowe in relaxed mood, almost happy in his skin. Tracks such as I'm A Mess, Let's Stay In And Make Love and his take on an old Johnny Rivers song, Poor Side Of Town show the old warrior tastefully brandishing his country-rock credentials with some skill and pride.
If you're a fan of these selections from the Nick Lowe discography, you may like to check out another UK artist with some similar, musical traits to Nick - James Henry. You can download (for nothing) a previous single of his, 'The Sun Is Cracking The Flags', taken from his forthcoming album 'Overspill', by clicking the link below.
