Movie Plot Thoughts: Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon

In the weeks leading up to quite possibly the most anticipated movie of the summer (although the Boy Magician - Harry Potter - will surely give it a run for its money), Transformers Dark of the Moon has characteristically released tidbit-after-tidbit of its plot. The much-maligned franchise hasn't successfully done this in four years, since the blockbuster Transformers 2007 live-action film, as Revenge of the Fallen was a cinematic desert - huge yet insubstantial. Fans nationwide are primed with anticipation, if only out of the accurate reasoning that the third movie couldn't possibly be any worse than film 2.
With all that said, since the Writer's Strike excuse that was used for the paucity and lack-of-focus of Revenge of the Fallen (surely they could have gotten a fan to write the plot, right? It would have been better than what they ended up with) is no more, what can we expect Dark of the Moon to be about? It is clear they've picked a good element around which to revolve it; the space-race between the US and USSR gets max points just for its significance alone. The revelation in the most recent batch of post-Superbowl Transformers commercials that human beings might have sided with the Decepticons does one of the best things an action film can do for the audience: post them strongly on one side over another side. Don't be surprised if the audience is rooting only for the Autobots, and the only humans that get any love whatsoever are Sam and girl! Especially when the trailers seem to suggest that the human government, or some elements of it, knew of the Decepticons long before the general public, and sought to use them for personal reasons - which pretty much sums up human history.
The introduction of a new villain, Shockwave, also leaves us wondering what role - if any - Megatron will play in Dark of the Moon. The Decepticon leader, as evidenced by his admonition to Starscream in Revenge of the Fallen: "Even in death, there is no rule but mine!" clearly doesn't do well as second-fiddle. In the comics, Shockwave was his general on Cybertron, left there to continue the bad fight as Megatron chased the AllSpark and Prime across the universe. Will Transformers 3 involve some kind of showdown between the brutal-looking Shockwave and the Decepticon-leader? Are humans using the Decepticons to try and control the populace in some way, only to have it (Surprise!!) backfire? We'll see in less than a week.

Rebecca da Costa - Rising Star

You may haven't heard of her name yet - but soon you will. Pretty soon. Rebecca da Costa is a rising international artist who is not only trying to invade the world of acting and modeling, but hosting as well. And with her beautiful face and amazing body, it wouldn't be a surprise if she becomes a household name soon - much sooner than we think.
Probably unknown to most of us, Rebecca da Costa has starred in several movies starting last year. Her first ever role as an actress was in an American independent film called "The Treasure of the Black Jaguar" wherein she played a waitress. In the same year, in 2010, Rebecca was given another break in the movie entitled "Trick of the Witch" directed by Chris Morrissey. She played Anabella, one of the models trapped in an abandoned, scary mansion, in this suspense flick. And as a sort of answered prayer, the movie was awarded the Best Horror Film and Audience Award at the 2010 New York International Film Festival.
During the early part of 2011, Rebecca da Costa was chosen to star in the movie "L.A., I Hate You" as Natasha. Inspired by true stories in the "City of Angels," the plot of the movie revolved around the "darker" side of the city, telling scary and sad stories about sex, violence, murder and freedom. Rebecca as Natasha tried to touch the viewers' hearts by showing them the "real and ugly" Los Angeles, that is, at night. The movie is a suspense thriller directed by Yvan Gauthier and filmed in the City of Angels itself.
"Freerunner" is Rebecca's latest film. Playing the role of Chelsea, the story is about a group of athletes who are abducted and forced to run in a televised contest conceptualized by the film antagonist Mr. Frank. The conflict of the story? The athletes are wired with explosives so that they have to literally run for their lives.
Refusing to be stereotyped as a typical actress who plays the same role every time, Rebecca da Costa always tries to spice her movies up by playing different roles all the time. And aside from her good looks and sexy body, Rebecca aims for substance by involving herself in physically demanding activities like cycling, soccer, basketball, swimming, tennis, aerobics and believe it or not, even boxing.
With this resume, we will definitely be seeing more of Rebecca da Costa in the future. She's one kick-ass girl you can't wait to get your hands on - or in this respect, your movie on.

The Green Lantern Movie Review

I never thought in a million years that I would get to see a live action Green Lantern movie. Of all of the members of the Justice League, he was the one character that seemed to be the least familiar and the hardest to develop into a stand-alone film. Add to that the fact that pretty much all of the Green Lantern's powers come out of the ring meaning that the special effects would have to be such that they are believable and that most of the film would be using a ton of effects. Luckily the technology is now available to make this a reality and therefore we now have Green Lantern in his own film. My hope is that this might lead to additional individual films for each member of the Justice League leading up to a Justice League movie, just like Marvel has done with the members of the Avengers leading up to the Avengers movie due out next year. I'll keep my fingers crossed for that, but in the meantime lets discuss their current effort of Green Lantern.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Green Lantern, he is a member of a larger group called the Green Lantern Corps. They are an organization created by the Guardians of the Universe that patrol the entire galaxy to maintain balance and uphold justice throughout the universe. Each Green Lantern is proved a special ring that allows the Lantern to create anything they can imagine. You see, the ring is powered by willpower and the things it constructs are only as powerful as the willpower of the Lantern using it. This film deals primarily with the first human Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and also gives us a great introduction to the Green Lantern Corps, the Guardians, and their worst enemy Parallax.
For the most part, I was quite pleased by the story they told about the origin of Earth's first Green Lantern. The casting of Ryan Reynolds was just about perfect, however the actor who stole the show for me was Mark Strong as Sinestro. I can't think of anyone else that could have come close to his performance. If only they had made him the villain of the film, however I hope that this one does well enough to warrant a sequel. In fact, the best parts of the entire film were those dealing with the Corps as a whole and all of the scenes filmed on the Lantern home world of Oa. If only they had kept the scenes involving Hal finding Abin Sur and his wrecked space craft and Hal finally accepting the ring, but when he travels to Oa to begin his training and learning about the Corps, the action should have remained there to have Hal and the entire corps battling Parallax then have Hal come back to Earth as it's protector. I just wasn't as impressed by the after Hal comes back from Oa when he decides that he doesn't want to accept the responsibility of becoming the Green Lantern. They could have just as easily created an origin story that took place on Oa and was only on Earth for the beginning and ending of the film. That being said, I was still incredibly impressed by what they did manage to put together and the overall story that they told. This was a good introduction to this amazing character but it is just the tip of the iceberg as to everything the Green Lantern can do and how essential he is to the safety of Earth and the Galaxy he helps to protect.
If you are any fan of Superman or Batman, you should go and check out this film. Keep in mind that Green Lantern is one of the seven founding members of the Justice League that includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. I can't tell you how much I hope and pray that we will not only get to see individual films for each of these characters, but also see them joined together in a Justice League movie. Give this film a chance, despite any bad reviews you might have seen, and immerse yourself in this incredible world. If this film doesn't do well, our chances of seeing more of these characters in their own films will vanish before they are even given the chance.

Great Moments In Opera, "Mia Gelosa!" From Puccini's "Tosca"

Puccini's opera "Tosca" is basically a political love story between a celebrated singer by the name of Floria Tosca and the painter; Mario Cavaradossi. It being in act one of Tosca that Floria Tosca pays her lover, Mario Cavaradossi a visit at the church where he has been commissioned to paint a portrait of Mary Magdalene. Mario Cavaradossi portraying Mary Magdalene in such a way that depicts beauty which Floria Tosca can not help but wonder if he is really being inspired by the vision of Mary Magdalene or perhaps another one of his lovers.
For my part, I always imagine it being Angela Gheorghiu and her dark mysterious beauty of black hair and brown eyes in the role of Floria Tosca. As Angela Gheorghiu seems to have been made by nature to take the part of this woman who encompasses all the qualities she herself possesses. Floria Tosca's strengths being all too apparent in her ways which include charm, cunning, sensuality, playfulness of the coquette and above all perhaps the ability in her to adore Mario Cavaradossi with jealousy and perhaps suspicion yet is willing to sacrifice for his sake.
As for the aria, it starts out with the typical exchange between lovers in which Tosca and Cavaradossi exchange expressions of affection yet after a kiss of passion; Mario makes it clear that he is rushed and asks Floria to leave him to his toil. This to Tosca's reaction who accepts Mario's request with reluctance yet does agree that it perhaps would be best if he were to be left to his duties. Tosca's words "vado, vado" (I am going) reminding me of a lady who is getting out of her lover's bed after having made love with the jealousy of one who knows that his time will no longer be hers. Tosca's eyes or those of Angela Gheorghiu, also taking on the playful charm in this scene of a child, who is being told by her father that he does not have time to play with her yet accepts his decision not in anger but with the understanding of those who are disappointed. It being a smile to decorate Angela Gheorghiu's lips as she is ever endearing in this brief moment of exquisiteness in which her face gathers even further beauty.
It is however as Tosca is about to leave that she notices the woman Cavaradossi is painting and asks with all of her suspicion "Who is that blond woman up there?". Cavaradossi seeing that Tosca's is but the ways of one who adores, answers with calm as he claims "It is Magdalena, do you like her?". Tosca at this point becomes slightly jealous as she questions Mario even further by declaring "She is too beautiful!" in what is turning out to be a perfect exchange between a tenor and a soprano in what is definitely a most dramatic role.
Mario however not wanting to quarrel simply tries to sooth Tosca's fears as he says "such a lovely compliment" with a smile of warmth. Tosca however wonders as she says "Those blue eyes I have seen them before" as if reminding her of somebody Mario knows. Mario however showing serenity claims with calm as the music suits his part and his words "there are so many like them in the world" as he tries to go back to his work of art.
It being at this point that the music centers around their dialog as Tosca stops Cavaradossi and says "aspecta" (wait) almost with the caprice of a child. Tosca suddenly violently asks if the woman in the photo is one which she knows was a former lady friend of Mario's. Mario declaring that such is not the case yet Tosca with despair insists upon certainty that he was not painting another woman. This as the melody increase in its dramatic effects with Tosca, who to me is really Angela Gheorhiu; reacting with dread that in fact all of Mario's effort might have been inspired by another woman. It almost seeming as if Tosca had discovered Mario in the act of sexuality with another woman or had seen this very act in the painting which in her imagination is taunting not only her fears but what might be reality.
Cavaradossi however seeing that Tosca is merely showing concern that she might not be the sole woman in his life, guarantees her that he has not seen the woman she is reoffering to in a long time; save when she turns up at church merely to pray and even swears to it as he claims "juro". This promise easing Tosca's fears whose worries are but of those who perhaps adore with too much passion and need to be reassured even of what they know to be true.
Tosca referring to the eyes as if they gazed upon her and with a certain jealousy or perhaps even envy mentions their beauty. Mario however is captivated by the insecurity in Tosca as he wishes to reassure her there is no other love in his life but her with words that praise not so much the beauty which is so apparent but the significance it has on to his emotions. It being Mario's voice which shows the force of a tenor with strength which does not shriek yet rises as he expresses the most tender feelings for a sentiment; he holds for a woman and how he would never wish to jeopardize it.
Tosca is moved as she hears Mario's praises with the innocence of a child who is receiving the loveliest of presents to consul and comfort her. Tosca however also realizing that Mario is well acquainted with the maneuvers of being able to find points of weakness in women that they might succumb to his affections. Tosca's words "como sai bene il arte di farte amar" (you know the art of making yourself be loved) in a way praising Mario yet also wondering if his is but a well rehearsed act which he is capable of applying with any woman he chooses. Mario however with the patience of one who adores simply humors his Tosca further in claiming "mia gelosa". This being the moment in which both cuddle with tenderness while coquette smiles put an end to all the worries which Tosca might have had concerning their romance.
This as Cavaradossi's voice soars above the harmony and though many from Alagna to Pavarotti have taken this role, I would say that it is Placido Domingo whose character and above all style of singing are ideal not only for this aria but the opera Tosca. Domingo having the power yet tenderness which does not require him to have to struggle with his voice but deliver it just right. As for myself, the opera Tosca, in fact was the first I ever saw at New York's Metropolitan Opera House yet it was with Pavarotti back in the winter of 86. I however would go on to hear Tosca performed by Placido Domingo in Central Park that very year which did allow me to see the differences between these two great tenors which included not only their vocal styles along with their personalities.
Cavaradossi repeats "mia geloso" yet wishes to be left to his work as he and Tosca express desires with their eyes though she is all too aware that he must get back to his work. Tosca however before leaving does exert a promise from Mario that he get home on time regardless of weather the woman he is painting be blond or brunette; to which Mario repeats that this he swears to as both leave the stage.
In conclusion, I would say that the aria "Mia Gelosa" is one of the most tender emotions in opera. As it is undoubtedly one of love yet there is that element which is so typical for the rest of the opera Tosca. Tosca being one of political as well as romantic intrigues that reach higher levels of intensity in acts two in three yet "Mia Gelosa" does allow us to see the sort of relationship which Tosca has with the painter; Mario Cavaradossi.

Gastown Music Festival - Fete de la Musique

The streets are alive with the sound of music.
On June 21st, the longest day of the year, Vancouver hosted a free, five-hour outdoor music festival. The event took place on the oldest streets in the city - the cobblestones of Gastown. It ran from five in the afternoon till ten at night and featured musicians from various musical backgrounds. They all performed in the nooks and crannies surrounding Water Street. The sounds of guitars, voices and percussion instruments blended into a musical quilt of auditory diversity.
The event was titled Fete de la Musique Vancouver - or in English, Make Music Vancouver. The festival has its roots in France, where the idea was formed to create a free annual music festival on the summer solstice that would be accessible to everyone. It was the brainchild of Joel Cohen, an American employed by the national French radio station, Franc Musique. The idea took on a firm form under Maurice Fleuret, a French Music and Dance director, who spearheaded the first gathering. The inaugural festival in France was held in 1982. It has since spawned similar festivals on the same date and under the same conditions in countries around the world.
There are now over 100 countries taking part in the annual event. In Canada, the festival has premiered in Toronto, Moncton, Ottawa, Mont-Tremblant, Quebec City and Montreal. This was the first year that it took place on the streets of Vancouver. The two francophone institutions responsible for organizing it were Alliance Francaise de Vancouver and Francais du Monde a Vancouver. The event also had the support of the French Consulate.
With a distinctly French background, organizers encouraged French-speaking artists to submit their applications for a festival spot. The final line-up showcased a variety of culturally diverse acts, with vocals in a number of different languages.
The festival site had 35 musical zones, or temporary stages, where artists rotated through a set line-up. Each zone had a specific musical feel. For the rock fans, there was the corner of Water and Richards. The hip-hop fans had the bottom of Cambie, by the rail yard.
With a mix of professional and amateur musicians, the festival included raw and polished talent. None of the musicians performing were paid - a key element to the festival. The performers shared their music for the love of their craft.
The musicians were asked to bring their own instruments, chairs and music stands, with the festival organizers supplying only the location. The performances concluded at 10 pm, when the bylaw noise restrictions came into effect.
Make Music Vancouver also encouraged local bars and nightclubs to continue the party indoors, after 10 o'clock. Bar and club owners were asked to stick to the same principals and not charge for admission.

Guitar Buying - Looking for Your First Guitar

If you're just starting out as a novice guitarist, you may ask the musical question, "What's the minimum I need to spend to avoid winding up with a piece of junk?" That's a good question, because modern manufacturing practices now enable Luthiers (the fancy term for guitar makers) to turn out some pretty good stuff for around 124 pounds - and even less sometimes.
If you're an adult and you're looking to grow with an instrument, plan to spend between 124 pounds and 155 pounds for an acoustic guitar and a little less for an electric. (Electric guitars are a little easier to build than acoustics are, so they usually cost a bit less than comparable acoustics.) Not bad for something that can provide a lifetime of entertainment and help you develop musical skills, is it?
When guitar buying for the first time, consider the following criteria:
Appearance: You must like the way a particular guitar looks, or you're never really happy with it. So use your eye and your sense of taste (and we're referring here to your sense of aesthetics, so please, don't lick the guitar with your tongue) to select possible candidates. A red guitar isn't inherently better or worse than a green one, but you're perfectly free to base your decision to buy simply on whether you like the look of the guitar.
1. Playability: When guitar buying, keep in mind that just because a guitar is relatively inexpensive doesn't necessarily mean that it's difficult to play (although this correlation was often the case in the past). You should be able to press the strings down to the fretboard with relative ease. And you shouldn't find the up-the-neck frets unduly difficult either, although they're sometimes harder to play than the lower frets are.
Here's a way to get some perspective on playability. Go back to that Ferrari - er, more expensive guitar - at the other end of the rack and see how a high-quality guitar plays. Then return to the more affordable instrument you're considering. Is the playability wildly different? It shouldn't be. If your prospective instrument doesn't feel comfortable to you, move on.
2. Intonation: Besides being relatively easy to play, a guitar must play in tune. Although the notes are of a different tonal quality, the pitch should be exactly the same. On a guitar that's not set up correctly, the 3rd to 6th strings are likely to go out of tune first. If you don't trust your ears to tell the difference, enlist the aid of an experienced guitarist on this issue; it's crucial.
3. Solid construction: If you're checking out an acoustic, rap gently on the top of the instrument (like your doctor does to check your ribs and chest) to make sure that its rattle free. Peer inside the hole, looking for gobs of glue and other evidence of sloppy workmanship. (Rough-sanded braces are a big tip-off to a hastily constructed instrument.) On an electric, test that the metal hardware is all tightly secured and rattle free. Without plugging into an amp, strum the open strings hard and listen for any rattling.
Running your hand along the edge of the neck to check that the frets are smooth and filed correctly is another good test. If you're not sure what you should be feeling when guitar buying, consult an experienced guitarist on this "fret check."

Piano Lesson - How to Play a Piano, Step-By-Step

The piano holds a high spot in music history. It is a rich and versatile instrument. The fundamentals of piano playing are structural and simple; however, it can take years of intense study and practice to become a master. The piano will become less of a mystery to you when you understand the way the notes fit with each other and follow this up by practicing melodies and chords. When you have studied sufficiently to understand the mechanics of music, you will be able to compose on your own. This is a very impressive skill to have.
Here's What You'll Need
1. Seat yourself at your piano. Look at the entire keyboard, and you will notice that the keys lie in the following combinations: Black keys fall in a pattern of 2 and then 3 keys. White keys fall between these keys with 3 white keys for each set of 2 black keys and 4 white keys for each set of 3 black keys. Locate a cluster of 2 black keys and play the white key that immediately precedes it. The name of this note is "C". In all, there are eight C keys on a standard piano, although if the piano is smaller, or you are using a keyboard, there may be less.
2. Use your right hand for the center C note. The name of this key is "middle C." Go up and down the piano, locating all of the "C" notes on the white keys, and play each one. There are eight notes between two C keys, including the C keys themselves. The first is note C, followed by D, E, F, G, A, B and C again. Practice this pattern on each octave (C to C) on the keyboard. Listen carefully to familiarize yourself with the sounds produced. Practice often to gain proficiency. Learn the names of the white keys by heart, from beginning to end.
3. Use your little finger, middle finger and thumb of your left hand to play C, E & G simultaneously on the lower end of the keyboard. This is where the notes have a lower tone. Playing these 3 notes simultaneously produces a C major chord. Practice playing C major chords at all points on the keyboard. After you have become familiar with this, you can play other chords (3 note combinations). Here are some examples: A minor = A, C, E. G minor = G, B, D. F major = F, A, C. E minor = E, G, B. D minor = D, F, A.
4. On the upper end of the keyboard (where the notes have a higher tone) use your right thumb to play a C. At the same time, using your left hand on the lower end of the keyboard, play a C major chord. This consists of C, E & G. Allow these 4 notes to ring strong and clear. Now try playing the C repeatedly with your right thumb while shifting chords using your left hand (e.g. A minor, F major, etc.) When you switch chords, listen carefully to discern the variety of harmonies and tones that are created.
5. Now use your left hand to play one of the 6 chords with which you are familiar - C major, D minor, E minor, F major, G major, A minor. Now you should play a succession of the 8 notes - C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C - you know. Now improvise by using your left hand to play chords to your liking and your right hand to play notes to your liking. Imitate songs you enjoy and experiment with piecing together notes and chords that you like. There are many popular songs, such as Pachelbel's Canon, that have familiar chord combinations (C major, G major, A minor, E minor, F major, C major, F major, G major). You should learn these useful combinations. Play frequently and feel free to experiment as you practice so that you can truly enjoy the music you create.

Girls and Their Chauvinism

GIRLS: The very thought or sound of this word makes a man come to life and get his adrenaline pumping. The very glimpse of a good-looking girl (wanted to use another word but since its a public forum, I m not using it ) can make a man's heart beat heavily.
But friends these girls who appear like angels are like demons and monsters (Girls don't kill me for this). Below are the qualities and traits of a specie called GIRL
1. Physical Appearance and 24/7 Makeup: Well this one is a very frustrating one and mostly prevalent among all girls except some non-males in IITs. Well the normal routine of a girl starts from a mirror and ends with a mirror. A girl will never miss an opportunity to see her appearance even in a car mirror or glass window pane. This isn't all. The most annoying thing of all is even while talking, how she opens up her hairband, wears it on her wrist and again put it back on her hair. Whats the use? They fail to understand that she still looks the same, The next thing is on top of the charts for girls: MAKEUP. The only thing which concerns a girl is her makeup. Given an opportunity, she can do makeup 24/7 only to find herself looking the same
2. Shopping: When a girl listens to this word, it sounds like heaven to her. The only motive of a girl's life is "Shopping". If you ask your girl for a date or dinner, she may refuse but if u ask her to go for shopping, she will be ready anytime, even at 3 am (if malls are opened ). So if you like a girl and want to propose her, take her to shopping instead of a date.
3. Girls and their Blah Blah: Girls are very self-obsessed. If you have been with a girl, you must have found yourself scratching your head thinking about answers to following questions put up by girls:
How am I looking? (The irritating part is if you meet her 3 or 4 times, she will ask this question everytime )
Am i looking fat? Tell me know
Is this color too bright or is it fine?
Now how does a guy respond to such tuff questions
4. Girls and their Birthdays: Well the biggest crime is when you forget a girl's birthday. I mean you can forget about the exam that is scheduled the next day but forgetting a girl's birthday. The consequences of this crime are very severe and the author has been a victim of them.
5. Girls and their choo-chweeeting: Well just let a small kid/baby or a puppy near a girl. Soon you will find your ears being bombarded with words as "Awwww, choooo chweeeet, my shona my coochie poochie, my darling". You are left wondering who is the girl's darling? You or the dog?
6. Girl - The Nature Lover: Consider an example where she sees a cockroach on the floor (Assuming the girl isn't afraid of cockroaches because usually this sight is followed by a scream). Assuming you are one of the devilish people like me and decide to crush the cockroach. Well in that case, be prepared because you have something horrendous in store for you. Your girl will go crazy and go to such an extent that she might breakup with you just to show her sympathy or love for animals. So never think of doing that. Well the scenario is different is she catches a glimpse of fur coat in a showroom made from panda's or tiger's skin. Her love and affection for animals will vanish because comeon its FASHION
Well I have much more to write about girls, but I guess I will stop here because already girls will be fuming and fretting by now and they might kill me if they by chance get hold of me.

Phulkari - Captivating Artwork of Punjab

Phulkari is a prominent artwork of the state of Punjab that adds to the popularity of the most happening place in India. The term Phulkari means flowering or floral work that is clearly visible in the final artwork. The craft basically involves embroidery of floral designs and patterns on various garments like shawls, scarf, handkerchief, sarees, and dupattas.
Evolution of this captivating craft dates back to the sixteenth century when women of the state started involving themselves in this activity during their free time. And then there's her 'The Love EP' featuring 5 covers, including Prince's 1979 hit, 'I Wanna Be Your Lover,' but not jazzed up, but more synthesised than even the original.

Sweden born and London raised soul singer Bluey Robinson goes beyond the atypical soul music genre. He flawlessly mixes his style with funk and pop, and is not afraid to sing a cappella or acoustically. You can tell he is inspired by the old-school, but he definitely knows how to keep his music fresh and relevant for these times today.
Daley
Daley's voice is something like a hybrid, with Eric Benet's tone and Prince's falsetto, and yet, all on his own, he's still soulful and yet unique. So it's not a surprise that he got working on the pop song, 'Doncamatic' with virtual British band, The Gorillaz. If imitation is truly the best form of flattery, then the album is a stamp of old school soul music amidst a musical scene afraid of going back and beyond the 80s for inspiration.

If you haven't heard of Jessie J, even if you haven't heard her music yet, where have you been? My apologies. It's just that her name has been floating around like whispers, most likely because she's been working as a singer/songwriter, writing and co-writing songs for the likes of Chris Brown and Miley Cyrus for a little while now. But then there's her 2010-released debut album with two very different but notable singles, 'Do It Like A Dude' and 'Price Tag.' If anything shouldn't be overlooked, is her ability to sing, though like many artists in the MTV generation, the visuals can make you forget actually how good a singer she is.
