As a new year approaches I tend to look back on all the discoveries and trends of the ending year. I reminisce on the trends in fashion, music, politics and technology. (Oh and who can forget the ever so changing, and sometimes "artsy", Lady Gaga.) Technology itself never ceases to amaze me, but this year's new products were the talk of the town. With the release of the iPhone 4 and the iPad, Apple was the "IT" company of the year (and last year, and possibly even the year prior to that). Along with Apple, Droid and HTC began dominating Verizon Wireless, Sprint and T-Mobile users. As a Droid owner myself, I can definitely vouch for its success. But of course, I think we can all agree that the biggest changes and trends of 2010 can be found in social media.

With the premiere of the movie "The Social Network" (film about the founding and rise of Facebook) it became evident  to everyone exactly how popular social media had become. Facebook has more active users than it has ever had before (a whopping 500 million!) and its frequency use is astounding. People spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook. (Billions, not millions.) What is even crazier is that of the 500 million users, more than 200 million access it through their phones. With that also comes Twitter, Linkedin and Youtube which are all sites that have allowed individuals to brand themselves, among everything else it provides.

You can search any company's name on Facebook and I can almost guarantee they will have a page.  Social media really has changed the world we live in and if there is one thing I will remember about 2010 it is that I couldn't imagine the year, or society, without it.

How To Buy Your New Guitar

Ok, so you want to learn how to play the guitar, or you want your kids to learn how to play. The problem is you don't own a guitar, so you will need to buy one. The following will tell you what to look for in a good quality guitar without breaking the bank.
So how do you buy a guitar? Well there's a right way and a wrong way. The wrong way is to just buy the first guitar you see when you're inexperienced and don't know what to look for. Lets say you're buying a guitar for your 5 year old son because you want him to become a rock star; Right? Good luck with that!
If you go and buy a 5 year old kid a full-sized guitar it would be the same as giving him a String Bass or an Upright Bass that stands about 6' high. In other words, he /she would need a chair in order to play it. Even a full-sized guitar would dwarf him, as he is still developing. A better choice would be a concert size or ½ size guitar these small guitars are specially made for kids in the 3-6 year old range. For the 6-10 year olds, a ¾ size guitar would be appropriate. If you purchase a hollow body acoustic guitar, you'll be able to hear it, but if you want to amplify it, you will need to buy a guitar amplifier and external pick-up, that fits your acoustic guitar.
Keep in mind that there are many quality guitar manufacturers such as, Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, Fender, Martin, etc. However, the real high quality guitars can cost big bucks.

As I was sitting in my office in Miami, me and several DJs were having a very intense discussion as to what were the top 25 dirty south songs of the decade. Even though we all know that choosing your favorite rap songs is solely based on one's opinion. I decided to take a crack at it to see how my picks would line up with the rest. But the criteria that I used to make my picks were that the songs had to be club bangers. I think that you will be very surprised as to what my picks are.
25. Dro In Da Wind_ Trick Daddy- This song was hot as hell on the streets and in the clubs when it came out in 2002. By far one of T Double D`s finest songs as of to date.
24. Still Tippin_ Mike Jones- Everybody in the South new who this guy was because he said his name a thousand times on every song that he did. But "Still Tippin" was one of the hottest records coming out of Houston, Texas and it was one of the DJs favorite records.
23. Get Low_ Lil Jon- This song had the whole club running to the dance floor when this record came out. This record by far is a DJ favorite when it comes to getting the party started.
22. Aint I_ Young LA- What made this record good was that not only did it feature TI & Young Dro, but also the sound was refreshing and the beat was contagious.
21. Ice Cream Paint Job- Dorrough- Clean on the inside cream on the outside. This song had the South jumping when it came out. Dorrough put Dallas on the map with this one.
20.Better Believe It_ Lil Boosie- With Young Jeezy & Lil Weebie featured on this track this song was destined to be a club banger from the start.
19. Big Thangs Poppin_ TI- The King himself let it be known on this one that if you aint talking about nothing big then don't say nothing. Club banger for sure.
18. Sole Survivor_ Young Jeezy- Everybody who was trying to survive in the streets loved this song with a passion. The beat was hard and the drop even harder.
17. Hustelin_ Rick Ross- Probable one of the catchiest rap songs I have ever heard of. When the DJ played this song in the club everybody would sing it.

15. It's Going Down_ Young Joc- I know that everybody remember this song! Young Joc had the whole country doing his dance when this record dropped.
14. International Player Anthem (I choose You)_ UGK- I really love this song because of the way that it was sampled and the way you can really feel the spirit of Pimp C (Rest In Peace) on this record.
13. Loose My Mind_ Young Jeezy- Young Jeezy came clean with this one. He has a way of hypnotizing you with street club bangers.
12. F*ck Tha Other Side_ Dunk Ryders feat Trick Daddy- When T Double D dropped this song everybody was screaming f*ck tha other side in the club.
11. Becky_ Plies- Men and women alike loved this song when Plies released this one. People ran to the dance floor when the DJ put this song on.
10. Stuntin Like My Daddy_ Birdman & Lil Wayne- By far one of the best rap verses that I ever heard Lil Wayne say on this song. When the DJ played this song, everybody just wanted to hear Lil Wayne's verse.
9. Trapstar_ Young Jeezy- The horns on this song alone is what make this record a certified banger in the clubs and streets alike.
8. We Takin Over_ DJ Khaled- When you have a million people on a song that all have sold platinum records. You can't help but win. By far my favorite song from Khaled.
7. Shorty Wanna Ride_ Young Buck- This is probably one of the hardest beats that I have ever heard. The whole club was jumpin every time the DJ dropped this record one the one.
6. Lollipop_ Lil Wayne- The best song that LIL Wayne has ever made. Lollipop is so catchy and the beat so melodic that everybody couldn't help but fall in love with this one.
5. Hustle Hard_ Ace Hood- The only song that Ace Hood ever made that I liked. But by far the best record that he has ever made. If you are a hustler, this is your song.
4. ASAP_ TI- The King let it be known that if you hate on him there will be consequences and repercussions. Who didn't like this song?
3. I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T_ Lil Weebie- The alone is what really carried this song. Lil Weebie had every woman in the club that didn't pay their way in, and was asking men in the to by them a drink, singing this song.
2.BMF_ Rick Ross- Whether you like the biggest boss or not. Nobody can deny that this man knows how to make hit records.
1. Put On_ Young Jeezy- Jezzy is the best at what he does, and that's make classic club and street bangers. Young Jeezy is the best that ever did it & got away with it.
