Iron Maiden Will Rock Your World On "From Fear To Eternity - The Best Of 1990-2010"

Wow, can you believe that heavy metal's heavy weights Iron Maiden have now been cranking out memorable heavy metal tunes for almost 30 years? Damn, that's a long time if you're keeping track of every song and album they've ever committed to tape.
Writing catchy and meaningful songs has been one of Iron Maiden's strongest points, which has also set them apart from their heavy metal peers, and has been very instrumental in their longevity as a band. Despite singer Bruce Dickinson and lead guitarist Adrian Smith having worked on their own stuff outside of Iron Maiden, now having been a part of the mighty Iron Maiden since 1999, it is like they'd never left the band to pursue their own musical interests in the first place.
"From Fear To Eternity - The Best Of 1990-2010" is Iron Maiden's latest release in the form of a greatest hits collection. There are two CDs comprised of 23 songs, almost two and a half hours worth of music to bang your head to. People, this is 20 years worth of killer...Maiden tunes and stunning album covers of their mascot Eddy. Yes, Eddy, the demonical beast is one hell of a monster but truly defines the intensity and true heavy metal spirit of what makes Iron Maiden 100% heavy metal.
Disc one starts of with the rocking and rolling antics of "The Wicker Man". "El Dorado" is a new track taken from their latest full-length studio release, "The Final Frontier" and will want to make your bang your head with its memorable harmonies and rhythms that'll just slowly ravage your world. Some of the other crowd favorites making it onto disc number one are as follows: "Paschendale", "Holy Smoke", "Blood Brothers", "Brave New World" and a live version of "Fear Of The Dark among others.
Disc number two is definitely locked and loaded with some of their explosive numbers as in the thrash metal-like "Be Quick Or Be Dead", "Tailgunner", and "Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter" from one of the Nightmare On Elm Street horror flicks. One of my many other favorites also making it onto this disc is "Afraid To Shoot Strangers", which has some of the most memorable vocal harmonies as singer Bruce Dickinson sings his heart out.
However, I still do enjoy listening to Iron Maiden and highly praise them for sticking to their heavy metal canons and doing what they do best, which is write heavy metal from the heart.
For those of you who dig live recordings will be pleased to know that there are four songs making it on here in the shape of "Man On The Edge", "Sign Of The Cross", "Fear Of The Dark" and "The Clansman". The quality of these live cuts is pretty darn good, so check out "From Fear To Eternity and ride the spirit of Iron Maiden high and mighty.
